MEET KADI MILLER
CMHC, ART THERAPY INTERN
I’m currently completing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy at the University of Indianapolis. Before entering the counseling field, I worked in art education and have spent much of my life immersed in creative spaces, painting, designing, and working with flowers. Art making and time in nature continue to shape how I understand healing, growth, and connection.

MY JOURNEY & EDUCATION
Before entering the counseling field, I worked in art education and spent much of my life involved in creative spaces. My experiences with painting, designing, and working with flowers have shaped my understanding of healing and connection. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy at the University of Indianapolis.
APPROACH & STYLE
I see counseling as a space where people can feel seen and gently interact with their stories. Sometimes this happens through conversation, and sometimes through creative expression, metaphor, or sensory experience. I’m especially drawn to approaches that honor the whole person, including mind, body, creativity, and environment.
I deeply value diversity and believe counseling should be a space where people of all identities, cultures, and life experiences feel respected and supported. I approach each client with curiosity, humility, and a commitment to understanding the unique context that shapes who they are and how they move through the world.
My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded because growth rarely happens all at once. Instead, it unfolds much like a garden, with patience, care, and the right conditions for each person to thrive.
