MEET BAILEY SIMS
LCMHC, OWNER & FOUNDER
From a young age, I felt drawn to the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, which eventually led me down the path of studying cross-cultural community development, mental health counseling, and yoga philosophy. Through personal experiences and professional training, I discovered the profound impact of integrating nature, mindfulness, and body-based practices into therapy sessions. My own journey of self-discovery and healing has deeply influenced my approach to counseling, guiding me to create a space where you can explore your inner landscape and cultivate a sense of wholeness.

MY JOURNEY
My journey has included formal education, extensive training, and ongoing professional development in areas such as psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, and nature-based interventions. As a therapist, I am trained to be a container for all thoughts, emotions, and experiences, to hold space for processing and transformation, and to build a true and authentic relationship with you. Over the years, what I realized is the most important part of this work for me is relationship. Connection to self, the natural world, our stories, our communities… this is why therapy works – it is a relationship. I am a human living a human experience, showing up alongside you as you navigate your own human experience.
APPROACH & STYLE
I believe that we are multidimensional beings, and I am not afraid to go to the depths of the human experience. I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I go beyond the symptoms to uncover the root of the issue and focus more on the process than the content. I use the here-and-now and the therapeutic relationship to help you gather insights into your own organization and functioning. I believe that mental health, like physical health, should not be confined to the rigid, westernized medical model, but aligned with and open to the dimensionality and complexity of the human experience.
